The Golden Rose Foundation is non-profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was established on January 4, 2017 by the Iota Sigma Chapter, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., to positively impact the community by facilitating and/or providing:

Mental and physical health, financial and career planning, pregnancy prevention, prenatal and postnatal care, child development, and fine arts education.

Mentorship, scholarships, internships, and cultural programs for youth, and

Shelter, care packages, and safety prevention for local citizens.
Our Mission
The Golden Rose Foundation’s mission is to edify the quality of life in the Richmond Metropolitan area. The organization seeks to positively impact the community in the areas of leadership development, education, and other public service endeavors.

Dear Friend,
We are happy and proud to announce that The Golden Rose Foundation, Inc. has received official notification of its tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. From its first steps at organizing this organization it has taken over 10 years to finally get this coveted status which was effective on January 13, 2023. You will find information on the mission and goals of the Foundation on the next page of this letter.
As you may know, any tax-exempt organization will incur various start-up costs that include both one-time and annual costs that include State Corporation Commission fees, business license fees, IRS tax exempt application fee, post office box fee, initial deposit for establishing a bank account, and liability insurance.
We are asking you for a donations to assist in covering these costs. In addition to your donation being tax deductible, individuals who contribute to this request before October 31, 2023 will be recognized as Founding Supporters of the Golden Rose Foundation, Inc. Our goal is to receive a minimum of $5,000 from this effort. See the attached flyer for donation categories.
